Saturday run 4th Saturday of the month : (Alameda Creek Stables 8:00 AM) We meet at the Stables parking lot, Union City Blvd. at Lowry Rd., north side of creek.
 
Sunday: Isherwood @ 8:00am
We meet in the parking lot on Isherwood Way, off Paseo Padre (from Hwy 880 take the Decoto exist east. Once on Decoto, turn right (going south) on Paseo Padre Pkwy. Turn left at the first light (Isherwood). First right into the parking lot, after you cross the bridge/creek.
 
 
NEWS and NOTES
 
 Next Saturday run (1st Sat of the month = Coyote hills @ 8 am ): We meet at Don Edwards SF wild life refuge parking lot (old Dumbarton toll plaza, Take Thornton Ave. in Newark to Marshlands Rd. Take a right on  Marshlands and drive to the top of the hill and park. Meet at the parking lot area
 
Beijing On Sunday, 4-19, an android outpaced the entire field to run a half-marathon faster than even the quickest human.
Lightning, a running robot developed by Chinese smartphone maker Honor, finished the 21-kilometer run in Beijing in a stunning 50 minutes and 26 seconds, beating the human world record by more than six minutes.
The human record – of 57 minutes and 20 seconds – is held by Ugandan runner Jacob
Kiplimo, according to World Athletics.
 
Boston Marathon John Korir and Sharon Lokedi were repeat champions. Korir lowered the course record to 2:01:52. Just under 4:39 per mile. Lokedi finished in 2:15:51.
Zouhair Talbi was the first USA male finishing fifth in 2:03:45. Jess McClain was the first USA female, finishing fifth in 2:20:49. Her time also established a new American record for women at Boston. Top 10 overall finishers and first three American finishers in both races attached.
