Saturday run (3rd Sat of the month)  Formerly Mission Coffee 151 Washington Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539 @ 8am ): Third Saturday: Mission Coffee, (meet at Mission Coffee. Corner of Washington Blvd. and  Mission Blvd.  Mission San Jose area of Fremont.  
 
Sunday: Isherwood @ 8:00am
We meet in the parking lot on Isherwood Way, off Paseo Padre (from Hwy 880 take the Decoto exist east. Once on Decoto, turn right (going south) on Paseo Padre Pkwy. Turn left at the first light (Isherwood). First right into the parking lot, after you cross the bridge/creek.

Next Saturday run 4th Saturday of the month : (Alameda Creek Stables 8:00 AM) We meet at the Stables parking lot, Union City Blvd. at Lowry Rd., north side of creek.
 
MPS HolidayParty Recap
Twenty eight Mission Peak Striders members and their guests enjoyed the club's annual holiday party on Sat. Dec. 13 at Spin A Yarn Restaurant in Fremont.  We dined on sumptuous food from the lunch menu and enjoyed fine wine provided by winemaker Chuck Lee. 
 
Ten individuals took home a bottle of wine from the wine raffle – 8 bottles coming from the personal cellar of late MPS member Carol Turner and 2 bottles sponsored by AP Investment Management (Anithah Pillai, Senthil’s wife; if you are in need of financial planning and wealth management services, you can contact Anithah at 650-618-1091).  The wine ranged from a 2007 Cab. Sauv. from Napa Valley to "Two Buck Chuck."
 
In after dinner interviews, we learned about the running careers of Fred Heinze (running streak now over 2,500 consecutive days, approaching 7 years) and J.R. Mintz (club mileage leader, just shy of 100K miles).
